Have you gone through menopause and wondered if your body will ever feel the same again? Or perhaps more like a new version of yourself?

Once you haven’t had a period for 12 months, you’re considered to be in postmenopause.

At this stage, your body has completed its transition. Estrogen levels are now consistently low, and progesterone remains low as well, since ovulation has fully stopped.

This doesn’t mean your body stops functioning – but it does function differently. Some symptoms, like hot flashes and night sweats, often decrease over time. Others may remain, such as vaginal dryness or changes in how your body responds to stress and recovery.

Many people describe a shift here. Without the same hormonal fluctuations, the body can start to feel more stable again – even if it’s not the same as before.

This isn’t a return to the past, but the beginning of a new phase.

It can help to know:

Hormone levels are now stable and low.

Your body has completed its transition.

Some symptoms may ease over time.

Others may remain, but support is available.

Many experience a new kind of stability.

Alma’s tip:

Give yourself time to get to know your body again. It’s not worse – just different. And if something feels difficult, there are ways to get support, both hormonal and non-hormonal.
