Many notice a change in how they feel.
It doesn’t have to be depression, but things can feel heavier than usual.
You may have less energy. Less motivation.
Things that used to feel easy now take more effort, and it can be hard to understand why.
This is common during menopause. When hormone levels change, the brain is affected too. This can make you feel more tired, more sensitive, or less motivated, even without a clear reason. It’s easy to become self-critical in this situation. To think you should just push through.
But that rarely helps.
What often makes a difference is slowing down and focusing on the basics.
You can start by:
• doing small things, even if motivation is low
• getting daylight every day
• moving your body at a gentle pace
• keeping simple routines
• talking to someone about how you feel
Many find it gets easier when the body gets more rest and less pressure.
It’s not about forcing energy back, but allowing the body to recover.
If it doesn’t improve, support is available. But starting small is enough.
