Nipple pain is common early on but should not be ignored. It is often caused by a shallow latch where the baby does not take enough of the breast into the mouth. You can try adjusting your position, allowing your baby to relatch, or asking for help with technique. If the pain continues, seek support — you are not meant to suffer through it.

🌿 Alma’s tips

• Gently break the latch with a finger if it hurts.

• Try different positions to see what feels better.

• Ask for support early — small adjustments can make a big difference.
