During weeks 33–35, the fetus continues to grow at a steady pace. As the space in the uterus becomes smaller, movements change. They often feel slower, rolling, or pressing rather than quick or sharp. This is a natural part of development as space becomes more limited. Now you should feel movements every day, in the way that is normal for your baby. The type of movement may change, but the pattern usually becomes familiar.

The fetus practices bending and stretching, and there are clear phases of activity and rest — even without conscious awareness. Body proportions become more balanced, and the skin gradually becomes thicker and less sensitive. This is mainly a period of preparation, rather than major visible change.

For the pregnant person, the body may begin to feel heavier or more restricted. Shortness of breath, tiredness, pelvic pressure or disrupted sleep are common as the uterus grows higher and the body continues to adapt. These changes do not mean something is wrong — they are often signs of progress.

This is a time when pregnancy can feel more noticeable without needing constant interpretation. The body continues its work, even when it is not actively felt.
