During weeks 30–32, the fetus grows steadily, and movements are often stronger and easier to notice. There is still room to turn and change position, but movements may feel more powerful. They may feel like pressure, stretching or slow rolling motions. From this stage, you should feel movements every day, in the way that is normal for your baby. The strength and pattern of movements can vary, but you begin to recognize what is usual for your baby.

The fetus practices stretching, bending arms and legs, and resting between activity periods. There are still no regular sleep patterns, but there are calmer and more active phases. The body is slowly preparing for life outside the womb by practicing breathing movements, mouth motions, and responding to internal signals.

For the pregnant person, the body may start to feel heavier. The uterus now extends up toward the ribcage, which can affect breathing or appetite. It is common to feel heaviness in the legs, changes in sleep, or a need for more rest during the day. This is the body’s natural adjustment.

An emotional connection to the pregnancy may become clearer during this time, though feelings can shift from day to day. That is completely normal.
