During weeks 15–17, the fetus continues to grow steadily. The body becomes more proportional, and arms and legs grow longer. The head is still large in relation to the body, but the balance improves gradually. The fetus can now make small movements, but they are still too soft and light to be felt. This is completely normal.
Inside the body, the nervous system continues to develop, helping the fetus practice simple reflexes like stretching or moving its hands. The organs mature slowly, and the blood circulation becomes more stable. This phase is about preparing for bigger development stages ahead.
For the pregnant person, this is often a calmer period. Many feel better than before, and nausea and fatigue may ease. The belly may start to show more clearly, but it varies a lot from person to person. Some notice changes in skin, hair, or joints as hormones continue to affect the body.
It is common not to feel clearly pregnant yet, especially if there are few symptoms or the belly is still small. But the body is continuing to support the pregnancy every day, even when it isn’t noticeable.
Alma’s tips 🌿
Don’t worry if you don’t feel movement yet – it’s too early.
Try to balance rest and gentle activity – your body benefits from both.
Drink water regularly and eat when you’re hungry – your body signals what it needs.
Trust the process – development continues, even when you can’t feel it.
